Genese Gospel will have veteran vocalist Carronne Jones Grant lead its line up of vocalist

Baltimore Maryland’s Black Heritage Arts weekend, will be the location for Genese Music and Entertainment Group to launch its three new imprints. Genese Gospel will introduce to some and reacquaint to others veteran gospel vocalist Carronne Jones Grant.

BALTIMORE, MD- January 15, 2007 - The Baltimore - Washington area is the birth place of a number of artist including Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Marvin Gaye, Dru Hill, Mya, and Little Mo’. It is also the home of a number of talented artist and musicians who have either sang background or have done a great deal of studio work. Carronne Jones Grant is such an artist.

Like others, Carronne was raised around family members who were musicians, producers, or National Gospel Recording artist. As a child Carronne fell in love with all of the musical creativity around her and decided to join her family’s church choir. As she matured mentally and musically Carronne started to think about pursuing a solo career.

Carronne said "As long as I can remember music has always been a part of my existence.”
However, Carronne’s musical career would take a decidedly different route. During and after college Carronne traveled to through out the Mid-Atlantic and record background vocals or hooks for many of the Top producers in the industry. It wasn’t until (I) competed in the Rising Star competition sponsored by Vicki Winan’s that Carronne decided to explore a solo career.
I had grown accustomed to supporting other artist and helping them tell their stories. However, I did not aggressively pursue finding a medium for my story to be told. Placing second place in the (Rising Star) competition was a reminder that my story is just as exciting as anyone else’s. Working with Ralph ( Rogers ), David ( Skinner ), and the rest of the Genese team is a pleasure and I cannot wait for the official release date.”, Carronne Grant.

Carronne’s up coming release "Expressions" is a mix of all of the music that influenced her career. Carronne explains "Good music can communicate a message that words alone can not express. That’s where the title "Expressions” comes from.

The title track "Expressions" deals with issues that revolve around love and comfort. "The track is smooth and flowing. When I heard it my first thought was to try and create a musical trance that listeners find themselves enveloped in.

"Expressions" is set to be release in early Spring under Genese Gospel, a part of Genese Music and Entertainment Group. www.genesemusic.com

Baltimore - January 08, 2007 - Genese Music’s primary creative arm has decided to leave the company to pursue his dream of working in the science industry. Wesley Branch, who was the Senior Creative Technician for Genese Music, has decided to leave the entertainment industry to return to his original love of Physics.

"Like myself, a number of us fall into jobs doing things that we are good at. However, those jobs aren’t always what we envisioned ourselves doing for the rest of our lives. Coming out of Delaware State with a degree in Physics I never thought the music industry would be where I ended up. Now I know its time to take a chance on both my career and destiny." Wesley Branch.

"During a time of change for our company Wesley stepped in and took control of a number of areas. Initially he worked with the marketing team and really helped facilitate the new look and feel of the company. He will be missed", Ralph Rogers – Chief Executive Officer.
