Genese Music and Entertainment Groups is a cutting edge label group and artist services company committed to introducing high quality music and video into the market place.
Raljaz Music Services was founded by Ralph Rogers in 2000 as a recording studio where local organizations and artists could develop their independent music projects. His idea was to provide a high quality low cost environment where musicians and artist could explore their creativity. This approach was extremely successful and attracted a number of artist and institutions including: The Eubie Blake Legacy Band, Howard University Symphonic Band (Mastering), Cecelia Callaway (daughter of Cab Calloway), and others.
In 2002, a decision was made to merge resources of Raljaz Music Services with a record label in the Baltimore area. The newly formed Pursuit Music Group was able to provide music arranging, copyist, production, recording, and sound reinforcement to its artist and clients. To further strengthen its abilities, artist development and management areas were developed.
For the next couple of years Pursuit Music traveled through out the Mid-Atlantic creating relationships and exploring opportunities for its artist to perform. By the end of 2004 Pursuit Music's artists had performed at places such as the legendary Black Lilly (Philadelphia), Unity Day (Philadelphia), Melodic Confessions (Baltimore), Artscape (Baltimore), Black Out (Washington DC), and elsewhere.
Pursuit Music went through a major restructuring in 2005 that would allow it to continue expanding the organization's vision and direction. The company re-emerged in August 2005 as Genese Music and Entertainment Group, LLC with an aggressive two year multi phase plan to become a competitive force in the entertainment industry.
