The Black Heritage Art show will be the stage for Genese Music and Entertainment Group's Talent Spotlight.
On Sunday, February 17, 2008 Genese Music and Entertainment will hold a talent search competition during the 13th Annual Baltimore Heritage Art Show. The winner of this competition will receive five hundred dollars and the opportunity to join one of Genese Music’s labels. The competition will be accepting applicants between the ages of 18 and 34 who perform all genres of music. The cost for attending the Talent Showcase Competition is included in the day’s admission fee to the Black Heritage Art Show ( $5.00 for individuals 12 and older ). Our guest judges for the show will be Hugh Barns, Director of Choir and Band for Coppin State. Garry Ellerbe, host of the Stolen Moments show on WEAA and Ron Page, a former Mid Atlantic Promotions Manager of Motown Music and now VP of Artist Management.
Genese Music and Entertainment Group LLC is a recording label and service provider based in the Washington-Baltimore and Atlanta areas. was established in the fall of 2000 under the name of Raljaz Music Group. Initially, Raljaz Music was a sole proprietorship owned by Ralph Rogers that offered recording services and equipment rental. In 2002, Raljaz Music merged with a small recording studio and started to develop a recording label. It is the parent company of Obial Soul, Genese Gospel, Pierre Noir, Genese Radio, and Genese South. Its labels were created to properly market Genese Music artists by appropriate demographic and genre.
